About This Event

Roatan’s Turquoise Bay Dive and Beach Resort, in partnership with Michel Labrecque and Julie Ouimet of N2Pix, are proud to announce the third edition of the Turquoise Bay International Underwater Film Festival.
 
While a new and young film festival, the inaugural edition attracted top names in the underwater filmmaking industry and an impressive array of high quality films.
 
The 2018 competition promises to be equally outstanding!
 
This year, the festival is joining forces with the Roatan Underwater Photo Festival. Join us for a fun-filled week of diving, seminars, photos, movies and prizes.

Founders of Turquoise Bay International Underwater Film Festival

Canadians Michel Labrecque and Julie Ouimet are co-owners of N2Pix. Julie and Michel decided to go off the beaten path in 2007, leaving the corporate world behind and choosing the ocean. They are the previous owners of a PADI 5-Star IDC. Their intense passion for scuba diving and the underwater world has led them to the four corners of the world and now into underwater photography and filmmaking. N2Pix specializes in underwater imagery and scuba travel and expeditions. Largely influenced by the need to protect the ocean, lately their work has focused on shark conservation. Published photojournalists, guest speakers at major dive conferences and short film producers, they have focused their efforts on building grass roots support for ocean related issues.

COO / Turquoise Bay Resort

Born in La Ceiba on the mainland of Honduras, Jesus moved to the island of Roatan shortly after finishing school where he studied Business. He has been working in the tourism industry on the island for the past 10 years. As COO of the Turquoise Bay Resort, his aim is to make it one of the best options in Roatan for an enjoyable beach and dive vacation. His personal, business motto: "In hospitality there's no better luxury than exceptional, friendly customer service."
